I AN AFRICAN WOMAN

I AN AFRICAN WOMAN

It's not yet 4:00am, I an African woman
Moving rekindling the fire from the overnight embers
Inside the mud - walled hut, my husband coughing
As the first birds are heard, he swings his legs over the bed side
A bed made from rough rope strung across a wooden frame.

He stands in the doorway and stretch
I Chausiku at my morning chores
As the cold dawn light suffuses the sky
I sprinkle water from a squat earthenware jar
Across the mud floor and sweep the dampened earth
With a brush of long grasses bound tightly together
The day has begun, I wearing a living smile.

I poke about in the straw of the hens
Hoping there might be eggs
To take to market to exchange for salt and oil
I find none, my mind in a little bit confusion.

The baby begins to cry, I fasten the child
To my back with a  long, dirty cloth
To keep him comforted until time to breastfeed
The child coughs, I feed the tiny fire
In what looks like an old biscuit-tin
With slow-burning wood to lost the kernels of wheat
For breakfast of my starving family.

I fetch water, I set my kids about chores
Some shift stones from their field for ploughing
Others take the ox on the long trek for water and pastures
My daughters spend hours fetching firewood
From the far mountainside and hills
Sadiki, the only male child sets off on the hour's walk
Walk to school.

I hoist the water container and swive it around
To lodge in the small of my back
My friend fastens it in place
I reach home, without break, I prepare for lunch
As the others eat, I breastfeed the child
Often, this takes a long time, an hour
Milk do not flow freely, no much food to go around
I cough, I loose, I rattle as I prepare little tasks
When the child's eyes die, I lay him among blankets.

In the afternoon, I leave the house to join my husband
In the field shifting stones for ploughing and sowing
I keep the weeds from the rows of sorghum
We return home tired in the late evening.

CLEOPATRA

CLEOPATRA

Ooh beauty ! doomed and perfect for an hour
Blind, banished from desire
Slaughters with sharp edges humble mankind
Carrying yourself with mortal heart
Draining the cup you've asked for it !
Cleopatra ! Cleopatra ! fatal mankind !

What's love? A doll nicely dressed up?
A thing of soft misnomers! So divine !
Divine by loving, and it bizarrely goes on !
Yawning a whole hot summer long !

Dying Anthony ! Fell a prey to Cleopatra
Foolish! Passions warming the cold world
Degrading the magnanimous personality
It's no reason why such incredible agony!

Cleopatra ! Beauty to extraordinary notice
Beautiful, charming, tempting but stingy !
Proud, sensible, vain, well groomed being
Powerful, conceited, exotic but horrible !

Cleopatra, seductress Cleo Patty Pharaoh
Able to enchant most powerful men
You took your own life for seek of love !
Your lust engulfed the lives of prisoners
Prisoners sitting on the royal stools
Peeping their noses to smell your sweat !

You're amazing, beguiling but deceiving
Full of yourself, fond of love inflammation
Buried in air, bore with unimaginable race
Pretty like rainbow, lived, died and lived
Poets walking on tongues for your cause.

THE COLOURED EPILOGUE

THE COLOURED EPILOGUE

Unbearable lifelong torture, intolerable insane
Squalid and stupid mankind consideration
Explicit and legal inhumane celebration
Mankind tearing, pieces of innocent human
Trafficked along the shores of African borders.

Chains tying necks of innocent blacks
Chains rattling, handcuffs slaughtering hands and legs to bloody
Predial servitude, abject and absurd
Old fashioned sexual abuse, mankind degrading
Detestable kind of extreme brutality.

Carnal brought by sound beating
Cruel whips cracking hotly over naked
Paying back kindness in bitter taste
Filthy chocking smell of mankind rotting
Africa, built on bloody black foundation.

Melancholy sealed Africa of bizarreness
Blood and torn bodies of forefathers
Irrigated victory and fatal survival
Survival of African nostalgia
Nostalgic tales of destruction and phobia

GIZA

GIZA

Cultural heritage and honour of greatness
Architectural contribution to mankind
The Great Pyramidal era of ancient Egypt
The pharaoh honour and mankind beauty
Though praise emanates from brainwash.

Great Giza and historical famous site
Mortuary temples, honour the deceased
Sarcophagus, mummified remains
Remains of great heroic world figures
Enormity paved the way to speculation.

Mankind worship, reign and elevation
Disdain of gods, mankind worst boast
Ivory statues, sealing evil of extremity
Kingship chambers, empty red granite
Sarcophagus ! Wicked ! Wicked !

Great pyramid, stair way to heaven
Way to heaven by the wicked mind
Corruption praised and adored kind
Egoism to godlike one's consideration
Evil on thrones by the fatal mankind.

Pyramids, world's oldest monuments
Monumental structures of honours
Pyramids, gigantic stairway by pharaohs
Stepping to imaginative heavens and evil
Pharaohs, eternal praise of mankind vain.

AFRICAN QUEEN

AFRICAN QUEEN

Be with me sweetheart, early and late
You're whatever moon has always meant
You're whatever a sun will always sing
I love thee to the depth and breadth
I love thee, to the height my soul reaches.

I dreamed you bewitched me
Into bed and sung me
Moonstruck, kissed me
Quiet insane, died me !

Your absence has gone through me
Like thread through a needle hole
You're as beautiful as the sunrise
You're the sweetest of all creatures
You're made of decorative fixtures.

My heart radiates with joy at thought
Thought of you, my mindset is caught
My face exhibits beautiful smiles
Classic smiles to lit the darkness.

I feel flushed and fiery in my mystery
I feel flouted with my mankind mystery
You're a beaconing beacon shine brightly
My lips beckon when you come close
Counting paradoxical heartbeats with ears.

My heart aches whenever I can't see you
Burnt with crave, lust, hunger without you
I am lost whenever I stop thinking of you
Rapture is captured with ecstasy with you

SWEETIE LITTLE DUMPLING

SWEETIE LITTLE DUMPLING

Your love brings waves of joy
Waves that sent my sorrows away
My aspirations rise and cherish
Each sweet second of our time to spend
Your love is the pen, my heart is the page
Like twins, let us create love eternity.

You're a fierce but very kind tiger
A tiger to tear my heart and mend it
You're as bright as a peacock
A peacock on a cold winter day
My love is like a hothouse orchid
My love is a prickly open cactus.

When I touch your soft skin
With my rough locomoting funny fingers
Fingers exploring the mystery secrets
Then I find driving you in vain spaces
Lost in direction but found my image
To you is where my mindset dwells
When trouble wallows and looms.

Voices screech with your absence
Your eyelashes beckon my service
Adoring to professional endowed careers
Resting comfort to your deserted thought
Laying rays of love onto your white pillow

LUDDITES IN THE BATTLEFIELD

LUDDITES IN THE BATTLEFIELD

Fazing feasibly feeding feast
Freezing flickery fiery flinty flit
Forward awkwardly oozing overt
Fluttering freely like flying eaglet.

Shields shimmering in sunshine
Fields shaking in disguise uplift
Rhythm leading wraths of battalion
Regiment bending in tricky and fight.

Victory in life and death harking
Victory rising in red light smiling
Bloody field and displaced linen
Lining tattered to let twisting line.

Luddites in the battlefield
Looking like the defeated
Raising the bloody shield
Declaring victory in blood.

I AM NOT GUILTY

I AM NOT GUILTY

Was born to be free
On earth of righteous
Stop child abuse ooh men
Stop hunting kids ooh men
For I am a human, not a beast.

I am lost of my rights virginity
I am killed and abused dignity
Like the dawn my life survives
In worries I find my hope terrain
I weep bloody tears from sound beating.

I am an angel, an innocent one
I have the highest dignity one
Find not richness through my
Poor labour, killing my living
I too have tomorrow like you
I too admire the bright futures
I too have a bright and dreams.

A child is a prince and princess
A kid is loved by God from eras
Fling not my poor innocent body
Send me to school for knowledge
I will mount the radar and advocate
For the social welfare and betterment.

You too were the child like me
You are the master and reputable
You were grown fairly and meekly
Love was the song you heard daily
You smiled to the countless teeth
Like an egg you're delicately treated
There's no more tortures and labours
Hold my hand and I will be spared
Hold my hand ooh men
Hold my hand ooh men

DEAR SECRETARY

DEAR SECRETARY

Receive my warm greetings
From my tearing broken heart
Tears fall like gigantic waterfalls
From my crying reddish eyes.

Remember the day
We firstly met
Along grassland way
Under the mrumba tree
Perpetuating my heart tortures.

Like the news listener
You listened to my tonguetwister
Badly defeating your negligence
And you finally signed the treaty.

The twining voyage we launched
At cool sandy blossoming coast
With no need of captain nor pilot
We agreed to fairly lead the safari.

Our love was wider than the ocean
You loved the river and left ocean
The overwhelming love won't fade
In my shrinking and loving heart.

A BYGONE LIVING AFRICA

A BYGONE LIVING AFRICA

Timeless tribal primordial Africa
People sight the people of Africa
Masai, Zulu, Dogon of Africa
Hot, dusty with rolling grasslands
Huge herds of animals, stocky humans.

Cold and steamy with cosmopolitans
Eating naturally, starving and staying
Warring and emigrating from deserts
Jungles, highlands, savannahs dwell
Music and rhythm, deep in their souls.

Game meat is eaten without flinching
Extremely enjoying and adoring
African writers and intellectuals
Mouthpieces of African wallowing
Achebe, Okigbo, Ngugi, Maya, Soyinka.

Liberalism is impeccable, native rulers
Fell in love with you, benevolent Africa
Thrusting into your warm virgin forests
You're a man wearing a bush jacket
Disappearing off into the sunset.

Africa of the heroic warriors
Africa of loyal servants and diviners
Africa of the ancient wise men
Living in hermitic splendours
Heaving energetic offsprings.

WHEN PEACE DESERTS

WHEN PEACE DESERTS

The land is filled with tears, blood and destructions
The nation is built with explosions and genocides
Children are recruited to take arms and wear bullets
Women are killed, infants suck milk from the dead  bodies
Tombs lavish and bodies are buried on the earth surface
Churches become soul refuge and life end in Holy places.

When peace deserts
Officials flee with crafts and smile down to the dying innocents
Rapes surpass to sooth the evil men with tattered brains
Machetes struck necks and struck bodies to pieces
Bodies are buried in passports while in one's breath
Land is deserted with its nature, seeking refuge in alien.

When peace deserts
Fear is adorned, peace is in a narrowest path of reach
Men become vultures collecting bodies and consuming
Men become rich, men sell fiery arms to kill the natives
Under the awful agreement, praising wars to last forever.
Daughters take roles of the dead mothers!

THE DEATH OF THE POET

THE DEATH OF THE POET

Death of the poet
Whether early or late
In battle or in bed
Accidental or self inflicted
Carries his ultimately fatal price.

Death of a poet
Is the freedom of swindles
And the fate to downtrodden
For poet is a sacrificial victimized
Blood is his smiling death warrant!

The poet's preference
Wears in warm slippers
And dwells in pickled onions
Racing to the cricket and scores
Personal disaster to marvelous write!

YOUR FUNKY MANSION

BEHIND YOUR FUNKY MANSION

You will find shanties
Few will get downstairs
But this is my homestead
Though I am always golden.

My nature is green and glee
My rapture is greeny and free
But you're as closer as Oxygen
I love neighbours but not visitors.

A visitor came and stole
My baby born and I am null
Left back baby pants tattered
Less in use buried underground.

A cry to reddish eyes is your rape
Fermenting my land you saw help
Racist belief was adorned to fatal
Induction of ancient land and blow
Craving and crushing to emptiness
And I was left with nothing but sobs.

NATIVITY LYRICS

NATIVITY LYRICS

Behold, the world was set aglow
Over two thousand years ago
A little one child was born
Jesus Christ, son of God
Saviour of the wicked world.

Christmas, the world tranquil peace
Christmas, the fights completely cease
Christmas, abundant miracles we receive
Christmas, impossibilities we receive !

Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way
Harks of redemption, sing the world
Sparks over skies, see the world
Peace descends, deep into our heats.

Christmas, the season of giving
Lifting spirits higher to paradise
Showing the way to blinds
Smiling with needy beings.

What should I render to you God
For your unconditional love to us
That you gave your only begotten son
Jesus Christ, came and saved us !

If I were a Shepherd
I would bring a healthy lamb
If I were a wise man
I would play my part
I surrender my heart to you Lord.

A LETTER TO MODERN CANNIBALS

A LETTER TO MODERN  CANNIBALS

Dear modern cannibals
Dear loaded cannibals
Modernised cannibals
Cannibals of mankind

Stop feeding on human flesh
Stop peeping nose into clergy
Clergy of spiritual fresh flesh
Stop striking and tearing flesh

For it's your turn you claim
Of eating to let bellies swell
Your bellies of dissatisfaction
For it's your time of blindness.

You claim upon unreasonable cause
You claim upon unjustifiable cause
You claim of mankind menopause
That we're barren of our mankind.

Dear cannibals, cannibals of fate
Fatal blow visits your homestead
For an ignorant being is now clever
Clever of nonsense you tease ever.

MY EQUIVOCAL WHIMPERS ON AFRICA

MY EQUIVOCAL WHIMPERS ON AFRICA

Africa of the widowed mothers
Africa of the wrinkled dry faces
I cry, I try to let tongue navigate
Africa, in whimpers I have to tell.

My memory remembers you wept
My memory tells you were whipped
In caravans you walked to eastern
Eastern, western, a stranger on land!

Africa, tiny magnanimous Africa
Africa tricked by genius pamper
Matured Africa, worn in pampa
Trafficked and slashed Africa.

And a flag independence you grabbed
Into your shivering hands you collapsed
Lacking sovereignty of your richness
Behind your door they stole your riches.

I pity and scream for your noble death
From the terrains and corners of land
Blood is filling your land with curses
Africa crawling in jingles and chains.

I plead the minority puppets and egoists
I plead the hollow humanity noble beings
I plead the cries of innocent noble souls
Dying on earth of reluctant poor leaders.

I plead for bloodshed in Congo lands
Celebrities brought by fierce mankind
Kissing blood and sitting on evil thrones
This is Africa, Africa of the minorities.

UNCHAIN MY HANDS

UNCHAIN MY HANDS

Being a free man
Is a free right
To enjoy and see
Being free from chains
Is my right to claim as a man
A free man, a man I deserve to be.

Hand cuffed and drowned into darkness
Covered with an umbra like darkness
Cast off darkness for light to illuminate
For I am a man, a valuable man, ego says
Strengthened to unchain my enslavement
Enslavement being my anathema to light.

Blood stains marking my humanity
Blood stains covering my body
For I am lost, left in a wallowing world
For I am found into jaws of fierce lions
Chewing my screaming dying body
For I have lost control and direction.

BEAUTIFUL AFRICAN WOMAN

BEAUTIFUL AFRICAN WOMAN

Wears beads, bangles and bracelets
Wears them for extreme beauty
Wearing them with pride for beauty
Wearing smile bigger, brighter than sun.

She wears scars telling her of bitter past
Bitter past to make her an African woman
Scars and bruises brought by thick ropes
Ropes twisting, blowing badly her body.

Her scars narrate stories of slavery, wars
Like tragic movies lacking fiery arms
But fighting by poisonous arrows
Defending her dominion and hybrids.

She feels proud of holes and gaps
In her mouth to complete her beauty
Beads define her identity and entity
Fighting for heritage, negritude splendid.

She loves her kinsmen from inner heart
Praising herbs effective than tablet
Walking majestically, calm like gazelle
Her beautiful bare feet touching grass
Her smile exposes white teeth, beauties!

PATRIOTIC LYRICS

PATRIOTIC LYRIC

Generation comes
Generation passes
The blood of peace
Irrigates humanities.

Once humanity violated
Declares protest by oppressed
Raise the platform of equality
To seal the essence of creation.

The pen tears an ink
To raise up the died
Stood for the majority rights
At home, diaspora, descendants.

The march to Washington
Built the value of renown
King and Rosa Parks
X and Marcus.

The dream dreamt
Made the white feel black
Black of magnanimity
Though thought in serendipity.

Black and white
Heavenly Father created
Why superiority of race
While both blood colour red?

THE INCREDIBLE NIGHTMARE

THE INCREDIBLE  NIGHTMARES.

I opened my eyes
Wider than laying kites
Looking over the skies
It was calm and blue sky.

My thoughts struggled with vigour
To hang my mind to bitter humour
Crawling in narrow lane and sour
Tongue like crocodile's tail's tour.

Lonely jungle field in my presence
East, west, south, north,birds sang
To please and believe I was not on
The way to destruction and fate.

The harmattan like blossom wind
Elevated my feet to actual motion
Cold froze my feet and muscles
Like chameleon I slowly moved.

A sudden fall like monkey from top
Afar I heard and hidden under roof
Vagabond invisible creature troop
Surrounded and invaded my roof.

My sharp spear swung in rhythms
Their needle like weapons crushed
They escaped in badly wounded
In mystery was left tired wounded.

LET THEM FLY

LET THEM FLY

For their wings blow vigorously
And fixed upon the tighten pivot
Like an aeroplane's fixed parts
To ease the flying to the destined.

They are lions streaking to preys
Preys of the empty meaty bodies
Though exceed in tremendous cry
Lions break laughter and swallows

Prey pays no retreat at loose race
Prey lives beneath deserted pace
Though sour sweats, right place
To spare the soul perishing face.

Let them fly to the far east
For the launched voyage to east
Will last to the far east via coast
Wind blows to let marine frost.

The shrinking faces shriek to shrill
For the fiery paths spark violently
Igniting to staunchly loose of light
Let them fly to east, east is destiny.
